Tommorrow Land Is Here

i have read an article called tomorrowland is here and got me thinking. for people 50 years ago the technology we are using was just a mere dream and was certainly a tomorrowland for them but for us tommorowland is still not here. this is because people never stop at one place but continue to grow. in maybe fifty there might flying cars and spaceship from another galaxy. but even if it become that great the people living will be imaginig for something greater so no matter how much our technology go up tomorrowland will never come but of course if peopl from 50 years ago come they might think they are dreaming. people say that our technology is going in a fast rate cellular phone are getting smaller, laptop is getting thinner, a cloned dog that shines in the dark exist but even if we have all of this we imagine something bigger. this is all because of our desire even if we get one, people seek for another and this cycle will continue forever as long as humanity exists. so this is the things that got me thinking after i read it.

In the business you would see them wild

We are going up with incredible speed

More space is in need

The Beast- Labyrinth Chp12-13

Do you know story labyrinth on the Greek mythology if you don't i will explain it to you. It is about the beast Minotaur that rampaged and finally king Minos with the help of the legendary artificer Daedalus. It trapped the beast. From that the quote "THE BEAST, HALF HUMAN, HALF BULL, ROAMED THE ENDLESS CORRIDORS OF THE LABYRINTH WAITING FOR THE YOUTH UPON WHICH IT WOULD FEED" had come. Gabi was not strong enough to avoid the beast. Will Spoon get her out and kill the beast inside her or will he be the victim of the beast.

In this chapter Gabi's mother had died and because of the shock she had lost all her hope. Gabi didn't come home for a few days so Spoon gets worried and looks for her and finally he finds her at a place where everyone has lost their hope and fall into the labyrinth. He soon gets back home with Gabi to make her rest. On the story about the Minotaur after the beast was trapped on the labyrinth the hero Theseus had slayed the Minotaur. My prediction is that Spoon will try to slay the beast in her but would get trapped on the labyrinth. But on the mythology the hero was able to get out with only one item. That item was just a plain string ball, he used it along the path he had walked to and and if he goes the same way there is already a string tied indicating he already past that part. On the same way i think Spoon would eventually get Gabi out of there.

Dragon Rider

This book is about a dragons that was hiding from human had finally showed up on their so the dragons must  go to the place humans never touched "the rim of heaven". Firedrake one of the dragon had seted off early and found a human boy who can help. On the way Nettlebrand the golden one(dragon that hunts other dragon) wants to find the rim of heavens to destroy all of them. So almost finding the rim of heaven they needed to overcome giant birds, basilisk, and djinns. Unfortunately im still up to that part.

Big Joe's Funeral

In my opinion the idea of Joe was kind of foolish until i got the real meaning of this story and the meaning of the story was about Harlem or how life is. for example in a day there is something crazy like Big Joe's funeral and in another there is an incident of somebody running around with a gun. Come to think of it maybe life is like that always something going on. You never know maybe somewhere in this world now something is happening.

Black Clouds

No kids laughter or joy

Except for the sound of little mourn 

It was over

Silently I touched his yet-warm skin

Shooter (description part 2)

In this part of the story they are interviewing a different person and the interesting part is that each person has there own story. For example from Cameron saw that Len was crazy to use his own blood to write "Stop The Violence" and thought he needed to run away with Carla. But from Carla she thought to go back because of the suffering Len was in. So far from the first time I read everything seems more clear since it tells us who and what really happened on April 22. I still think that he suicide because they didn't interview him. 

   Here's the real story first Cameron and Carla was said to bring paint and paint stop the violence. then Cameron went to school with Len and for some reason Carla didn't come. When Cameron saw Len with blood all over him he got freaked and ran after finding Carla at the hall. To hide Carla he put her in the closet while he ran away from Len who is trying to shoot him. During the panic he pressed fire alarm and hid. After the police came and arrested them they found a boy named Brad dead close to Len who shot himeself and later found Brad on his enemy list. 

The Shooter (opinion for the first part)

It is pretty interesting but I don't get why they are interviewing until I heard what was Len doing. I like how the story starts like how it is conversation of two people who I think is the friend of the victum or the criminal. Anyway after I read the title and a several pg I predict that the shooter is Len and Cameron is his friend who admires him until whatever that is that happened. Also it looks like it was a pretty serius that they are talking one-on-one and I think this Len person died already since they interview his friends and it must've been a mystery that nobody happens to know what happened. Anyway at first I didn't know what or why they were doing this but little by little it describes what Len was doing or what kind of person he was. I still wonder how this story would end.

The Streak

Two days ago we have read The Streak from the book 145th street. It was about a high school kid named Jamie living normally and suddenly gets a bad luck. Some of his bad luck includes fails the team by missing and was been angered by his teammates. That was pretty bad but it got worse and it was just the beginning of his bad luck. After that he breaks a slide in Science class and got a big fat zero by his teacher even though he tried to explain but he didn't listen. Then he meets his best friend Krocky and when Jamie explained to him and Krocky said it was streak but Jamie doesn't believe and tries to basket a milk but hits a big bully and eventually he forgets his wallet in his locker. Then he finally figured he was in a bad streak when he had a call from his English teacher that he is on the line of failing. When he got home he hurt his ankle and his sister found the bump she gave him an egg and made fun of him about having a bump and then Jamie gets aggravated and throws which later landed on the tray without a single crack. That's when he saw that his good streak was the reason.

When he explained it to Krocky he said he has a lucky streak was running so that's when Jamie thought of asking out Celia a Dominican girl to a dance party. His second luck was the math test when he got a good grade and that makes him having 5 more lucky streak. Then as he tries to save his luck but more good things happened and the number finally reached zero. He thought it was hopeless since he had no luck so when he was about to give up Celia came to him and said she wants to go with him.

Overall I think it was pretty good because of the way how Celia unexpectedly asked him out when he thought it was hopeless. Also I thought it was good because I didn't thought it would end this way. The ending I predicted his luck would run out and he doesn't go with her to the dance party.
